About this place
Start with a simple taco topped only with avocado, then move on to seasonal vegetables and meat. At Los Tacos Azules, morning tacos are an invitation to savour each filling one at a time. The morning omakase of 5 varieties is presented as a recommendation for one person. One diner enjoyed a progression from avocado to saltwort, chorizo, grilled aubergine with goat cheese and, to finish, the Carnitas Special. Another tried scrambled eggs with baby sardines, saltwort and the Carnitas Special, and singled out the chewy texture of the tortillas and the distinct character of each filling.
Try a selection through the omakase, or choose a taco that catches your eye. The menu includes classic carnitas, tender pork confit, as well as a special topped with chicharrón and a version stewed in tomato and jalapeño salsa. For vegetable-forward options, there are frijoles topped with refried beans and tlacoyo, filled with goat cheese and served with grilled cactus, beans and cilantro. Beyond tacos, the menu also offers quesadillas for a taste of cheese and chicken tamales made with white corn masa.
Some diners have enjoyed watching their food being prepared from the counter; taking time over each taco is part of the experience. To finish, choose ice cream topped with goat-milk caramel sauce and roasted pecans, or seasonal chocolate tamales.
